What is the primary purpose of 2-1-1 DDMS? • Nation-wide access to 2-1-1 disaster data as close to real-time as possible (operational) 2-1-1 Disaster Data Management System
What is the primary purpose of 2-1-1 DDMS? • 24/7/365 readiness of the 2-1-1 network for disaster response (operational) 2-1-1 Disaster Data Management System
What is the primary purpose of 2-1-1 DDMS? • Development of standardized caller & resource data elements (support) 2-1-1 Disaster Data Management System
What is the primary purpose of 2-1-1 DDMS? • Development of disaster management protocols for the 2-1-1 network (support) 2-1-1 Disaster Data Management System
What is the primary purpose of 2-1-1 DDMS? • Formal integration of the 2-1-1 network in all phases of disasters with appropriate external partners (support) 2-1-1 Disaster Data Management System
2-1-1 DDMS – Main Components • Suite of Data Management Tools • Data Commons • Data Exchange • Data Dashboard • Extension Warm Centers • Nationwide Coordination Main features and functionality provided by 2-1-1 DDMS
Current Capabilities All the I&R software systems have some basic capability to produce reports. Current State
Future Capabilities With 2-1-1 DDMS participating 2-1-1s are able to provide closer to real-time access to data for external partners, allow for dynamic, ad-hoc queries as well as ensure a more consistent presentation. Future Capabilities
2-1-1 DDMS Additionally, with 2-1-1 DDMS, designated 2-1-1 Extension (Warm) Sites would be able to seamlessly support the 2-1-1 network while preserving all the benefits of real-time access, dynamic and consistent reporting. Future Capabilities
2-1-1 DDMS Extension Warm Center An estimated between 6 to 12 Extension Warm Centers would be needed to provide: • 24/7/365 stand-by readiness to handle call surges, 2-1-1 service blackouts, and other potential scenarios that require an immediate increase in call handling and/or resource database management capacity. Criteria for the selection of Extension Warm Centers will be more stringent and demanding as well as tightly linked to deployment coordination requirements. August 30, 2014
