Introduction Russia, as we know, is the largest country in the world, with 17,074,400 sq. km of land. Russia’s land covers parts of both Europe and Asia. Bodies of water, mountains, valleys, lakes, plateau, rivers, andplains make up present-day Russia.
Landforms • Most of eastern Russia is covered by the Kolyma, Verkhoyansk, and Cherskiy Mts. Ranges • Central Russia is covered by the Siberian Plateau and Plains, making easy settlement. • Most Russians live in the European part, since it has a good climate, as well as flat land. Eastern Russia is mostly used for mining resources, especially coal, due to many of the Mtn. Ranges.
