We want to get more people playing sport safely from a young age, and help them keep playing sport throughout their life, no matter what their economic or social background”. Sports Premium • To make sure as many people as possible are playing sport, the government is: • Funding Sport England to help community sports grow and to keep children playing sport throughout their lives, • Expanding the School Games programme to increase opportunities for more young people to play competitive sport, • £450 million on improving physical education and sport in primary schools over the 3 academic years from 2013 • Lindon Bennett will receive £8495 for these academic years Source: www.gov.uk (Sports Premium)

Sporting Opportunities External: • Panathlon Challenge @ Featherstone School (Trophy) • Panathlon Challenge @ SMUC (Plate) • Mini Boccia Competition @ SMUC • Cricket for Change Festival @ Olympic Park • Yr 1-2 Borough Sports Day @ BFLC • Yr 3-4 Borough Sports Day @ BFLC • National Table Cricket Competition @ Islington • Lord Taverners T20 Table Cricket @ Lords • Middlesex CC SEN Festival @ Hatch End • Tennis Festival @ Dukes Meadow

  7. Sporting Opportunities Internal: • Cricket for Change Sessions • Athletics Sessions via Fusion Lifestyle • Sport Relief • Dance and Wiggle Day for Happy Days Charity • World Cup 2014 • National Sports Week • National Cricket Week

Teaching and Learning • Organising curriculum resources and PE storage • TOPSportability, FUNDAMENTALS • Space for new equipment • PE audits and lesson observations • Drop In Lessons • Supporting, creating and educating teachers on PE lessons and equipment • Foundation Centre provision • Access to PE equipment and supporting teachers • Investing in new, better quality and relevant PE equipment

  9. Inclusive Sports • Table Cricket • Positive feedback from children and staff • Funding granted from Celtic Supporters Club • Table tennis table • Funding requested from Middlesex CC for Table Cricket equipment • Internal and external Boccia and Kurling events

Outside Provision • Funding application to Sport England • Primary Schools can apply up to £30,000 • New building in mind, layout equipment has been applied for • Daily outside themed playground bags created • Different physical resources for children to explore and develop • Playground fencing • Wooden panels to be erected with emphasis on interactive resources created for children to engage with

  11. Long Term • Teaching and Learning • Investment and development of inclusive sports • Inclusion for every child • Modern, creative, relevant PE facilities • Maintaining and developing outside playground space • Extra curricular activities

PE Facilities • In partnership with SLT and Building Company • Hall to be designed with PE focus and provision • Outside playground and equipment to be maintained and supervised • Sport England funding application • Interactive fence panels • Extra Curricular Activities • E.g. Bike club, swimming club
