Orca 1000, 2000 and 3000 workstations, developed by Orcatech of Ottawa, a spin-off from Bell Northern Research, and led by an early workstation pioneer David John Pearson. • At the end of the 80s and beginning of the nineties were created, in France, the very first computer graphics TV series: "La Vie des bêtes" by studio Mac Guff Ligne

  6. What is Graphic Design?

  7. Understanding of Computer Graphic and Graphic Design ….. Graphic designis a creative process—most often involving a client and a designer and usually completed in conjunction with producers of form (i.e., printers, signmakers, etc.)—undertaken in order to convey a specific message (or messages) to a targeted audience

  8. Graphic Design as a discipline has a relatively recent history, with the term "graphic design" first coined by William AdisonDwiggins 1922. • During the Tang Dynasty (618–907) between the 4th and 7th century AD, wood blocks were cut to print on textiles and later to reproduce Buddhist texts

  9. Graphic Design is a strategic art meaning that it is art that is planned to serve a particular purpose. Opposite of it's cousin, Fine Art, which typically is mainly based on/from emotions, Graphic design is usually analytical/structured.

  10. In a modern sense Graphic Design is Visual Problem Solving "How do I get people to shop at my store?" ... "I need a billboard." What kind of store is it? What are you selling? Where are you located? Are you upscale or middle ground? These are the type of questions that Graphic Designer would ask so that they can turn your advertising problem into a successful billboard.

  11. Typically there are two types of designers: • Print • Editorial, Layout, Logo, Creative Photography, Packaging, Illustration, 3D Modelings • Web • Internet/Websites, Film, Animation, Coding

  12. Graphic Design has a different definition depending on who you ask.

  13. Graphic design is design. That makes it available to be used almost anywhere and on anything.
