Making Connections: The Strategies • Text-Self-World Writing: Pre-Reading Activity using political cartoons • Coding Text: During Reading Activity using CNN news articles • Save the Last Word for Me: After Reading Activity using the CNN news articles • Using the CNN news articles, practice these activities within your grade teams
