This study evaluates the quality of New Jersey's Abbott preschool classrooms in 2008, using PCMI for math, SELA for literacy, and ECERS assessments. William Paterson University conducted evaluations on a random sample of 11% (317 out of 2,852) of classrooms. The analysis includes statewide average scores for literacy and mathematics environments, as well as ECERS-R subscale scores and supports for early literacy assessment. The results show improvements in classroom quality over the years, with specific focus on literacy, math materials, and overall environment ratings.
