The Narrative Pattern • The basic narrative pattern is a quest in which the hero undertakes a pious journey in search of something of value.
The three stages of the narrative: Dangerous journey or travel 2. Central test or ordeal to determine if the hero truly possesses specific qualities. 3. The return to the point from where the journey began
