Rabbits were introduced to Britain by the Romans who kept them in fenced off warrens and harvested their meat and fur. • The earliest known records of rabbits in Britain occurred during the 12th Century.
Breeds • Dutch- The front of the face, body, and the back feet are white; the rest is colored. • Netherlands Dwarf- The ears are short for the head. • Cinnamon- Rust or cinnamon color with grey on back and grey on belly. Rust colored spots inside hind legs are butterfly marked on nose and eye rings. • Chinchilla- its fined bone.
