The Start…. • The Book starts out in “The Sticks” With Dustfinger under a Tree watching Orpheus’ House. Footsteps are heard after standing there for about four hours. They Hear something emit a Terrible growl, And it was Orpheus, With his “Dog”…It was Uglier than a Hyena. The “Dog” bared it’s teeth and Gnarled at Dustfinger And just walked off.
Basta • After Orpheus had left, Dustfinger felt a Knife against his throat and was being held back. Basta Says “Well, Who do we have here? Like my New Knife?” Dustfinger sat there and quivered. After he was Quivering, Dustfinger Bit Basta on the arm, And Ran Up the street, And Hid in the Bushes, Where the stickers Pricked and Shredded at his Bare feet. Dustfinger sat and Looked at his reflection in the creek behind the bushes, While Basta was Cursing and Swearing at Dustfinger. At one point he overheard Basta Say “You Little @#$&%*$! Ill kill you and your little friends one day, I’ll Kill them all!” Dustfinger yet again quivered at that comment. Was Basta Really going to Kill them all? As a Henchman Basta would seem like he would., Dustfinger thought, Was he Really going to Kill them all, And Why?

Meggie • This one starts out in a house just up the street from where Dustfinger was Standing With Farid waiting for Something to happen In Orpheus’ House. Meggie had a Close eye on the window, As she had seen Two Shadow figures in the glow of the Streetlight. As Meggie was called for dinner, Orpheus had turned out his light and the War between Orpheus’ Mutt, And Basta had Begun. Meggie did not notice this, But she heard it go on and Rushed upstairs Just in time to see Basta yelling at Dustfinger down the street, And Basta headed into the woods to find Dustfinger While Farid was with Dustfinger at the moment. Meggie did not witness the entire thing, Until Dustfinger came home. Dustfinger would tell them about it anyway. After the war between Basta and Dustfinger, Meggie and Mortimer (Mo) Had gotten into one of their “Quarrels” Over something ridiculous like a Book or it might be something worth Quarreling about like a Trouble happening between one of the two. Meggie has a Treasure Chest with about 75-100 books in it, Including Inkheart, Which she read Dustfinger out of the Inkworld and into the world as we know it.
Mortimer (Mo) • Mo isn’t your everyday kind of guy. He Publishes and Illustrates Books every other month or so, And he also does some Restoration and repairs to the books also. Like Meggie, They always manage to quarrel about something ridiculous or Something serious. Mo is a Good friend of Dustfinger, So Dustfinger practically lives with Mo. Mo usually doesn’t care if Meggie has a Book he can Fix, Or if he publishes one for her. Mo Is captured by Basta, As well as Resa and Meggie along with him. Mo binds the Adderhead of the Adderhead’s Castle a Book, And writes three words in it- Heart Spell Death, Killing the Adderhead Instantly. But the librarian of the castle Erases the words, Which made the Adderhead invincible. Mo can’t escape the castle because of a Fatal wound, But he had to somehow.

Firefox is made Immortal, But then Taddeo , The Adderhead’s Librarian Purposefully writes the Three words in the book, Killing the Adderhead. But, the Adderhead erases the words, Making the Adderhead Invincible. In the meanwhile, Farid and Dustfinger have sneaked into the castle using soot that causes invisibility, created by a communion of fire and water. Meggie and Farid fall in love after events in the Inkworld. After Mo finishes binding the book, the Adderhead keeps his word, but sends his soldiers and Basta to kill the prisoners afterwards. Farid is killed by Basta out of malice towards Dustfinger, and then Mo kills him. Later, Dustfinger summons the White Women to bring Farid to life, sacrificing himself. Farid comes back to life and Meggie reads Orpheus into the story using Fenoglio's words, although Orpheus refuses to admit that she read him into the book. Farid agrees to work for Orpheus as a servant if he writes something to bring Dustfinger back, but Farid wonders if Orpheus will live up to the agreement and if Dustfinger will ever come back.
