  2. JAPAN Japan is an island. The capital of Japan is Tokyo It’s a very small but a very crowded country. This is the flag of Japan.

  3. JAPANESE CLOTHES • The kimono is a traditional clothing.Japanese women and men wear kimonos.There are many different kimono styles. • It’s very difficult to wear a kimono, so someone helps you to wear it. • Today Japanese people don’t wear kimonos any more.

  4. Tea Ceremony • Japanese tea ceremony is a traditional ritual. • A skilled person prepares green tea and serves it. She wears a kimono while she is serving tea. • There are tea houses in Japan. They only serve tea there. Guests don’t wear shoes in these houses.

  5. Japanese Food • For over 2000 years rice has been the most important food in Japanese cuisine. In addition to rice they often eat soya beans and sea food. • The most famous Japanese foods are sushi, tofu tempura, soba and green tea. • They eat their food with chopsticks. • Japanese foods is healthy and delicious.

  6. Education in Japan • Japanese children start going to school when they are six years old. Starting school is a very important event in a child’s life. • The school year in Japan begins in April and students go to schools from Monday to Friday or Saturday.There are three terms.

  7. Elementary school students are between 6 and 12 years old. • Middle school students are 13 and 14. • High school students are between 15 and 17 years old. • Japanese students wear uniforms at school.
