  1. i Is data science hard for beginners? To venture into any profession or career path, often the question of learnability of the domain arises. Data science, as one of the hottest fields out there, is attracting enormous aspirants. While the complexities of the technologically infused and software world are not for everyone, learning data science can be challenging and exciting. Let us delve into the intricacies of the field and find out if data science is hard to learn for beginners or those with little to no knowledge of the data world Data science, in comparison with other technological fields, may be a little harder to learn given its highly technical requirements. It involves a steep learning curve to get a strong grasp of the diverse programming languages and applications. The domain being a relatively new discipline lacks a solid development foundation. The current scenario of data explosion the world is witnessing with the arrival of digital gadgets and the internet has further maximized the need for expert data scientists. However, the gap is hardly getting filled, resulting from the significantly complicated learning pattern of the field.

  2. ii Let us consider some of the underlying reasons why data science is hard for beginners Complex Issues: Data scientists must have the caliber to solve complex issues which are centered on designing models that address some of the most difficult business issues. This necessitates a great sense of problem-solving and a strong grasp of mathematics. Data Scientists are responsible for identifying patterns in data and drawing conclusions from the data. They must have prior experience in solving complicated challenges. It is a difficult field to enter and especially for people with no prior experience. The huge scale of Data: Data scientists live on data and it is their lifeline. A tremendous amount of data is generated daily in today's globe and it is growing at an exponential rate, making it difficult for data scientists to keep up A data scientist must evaluate the given huge data and produce insights to draw relevant information from it. However, many data scientists find it difficult to manage such large amounts of data. Furthermore, the data is not always organized, i.e., it is not always structured in the form of rows and columns. Data scientists are now faced with a new challenge. The large amounts of data come in varied shapes and sizes. A data scientist must be familiar with big data tools such as Hadoop and Spark to handle such a massive number of data. Technical know-how: Data Science has origins in a variety of fields. Data science encompasses a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, statistics, and programming. A data scientist must then master several sub-subjects within these disciplines. While having knowledge and proficiency in individual domains is relatively easy, mastering all three disciplines is generally difficult. Furthermore, being an expert in a single topic requires years of practice. Hence, the domain of data science is hard to learn.

  3. iii Expertise in Domain: Obtaining domain expertise involves personal experience. Also, transitioning from an engineering or IT role to a data scientist role that focuses on client sales forecasting is typically hard. Data science necessitates domain expertise to find meaningful variables, construct models in the context of business challenges, and fine-tune models to minimize bias that identifiable only through domain knowledge. Furthermore, data scientists require data in order to create superior goods for their clients based on rigorous research and assertion. These clients could be end-users in a variety of business fields. As a result, a data scientist must have in-depth domain knowledge of the consumer. Data science certification course to your rescue Having discussed the reasons for the subject being hard, it does not however mean that it cannot be learned. A well-defined data science certification course can help aspirants get a great grasp of the field. Additional to conventional college degree programs, there are data science certification courses that give desiring individuals exposure to the inherent skills and knowledge base in order to take up data science vocation. These certification programs are beneficial for professionals in numerous ways as employers now seek certified practitioners who have undergone rigorous training and have experience handling real-world projects. While data science is hard for beginners, a proper study plan could assist them in learning the right skills and soar in their profession.
