What is Autism and its treatment therapies for Children Autism communication, social skills & relations and a typical behavior sometimes characterized in the form of repetitive movements, and insistence on routine or sameness. is a developmental disorder that causes difficulty in Behavioural therapies use different strategies to help a person learn life skills and more positive behaviours such as communication and social skills. Examples include therapies used in autism such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI). Brainspotting (BSP) is relatively newer type of psychological treatment developed to help people with stress, anxiety and trauma. In brainspotting, the target is the survival (‘subcortical’) brain, with the use of focused mindfulness and specific eye movements. This allows painful, distressing memories to be processed so that they are no longer distressing, allowing people to heal from past traumatic
