  4. Reflex Math • Purpose • The goal of Reflex math is for students to gain fact fluency. Fluency means that students will be able to retrieve the correct answers to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts almost instantly. • Studies have shown that students who have fact fluency are more capable problem solvers, learn new math skills more quickly, and are more likely to succeed in future mathematics course! (from Reflex Math Teacher Guide) • How Often Should My Child Use This Program? • Reflex sessions last 15-20 minutes. It is expected that students in 3rd grade should log on 2-3 times a week to benefit from this program.

  5. Reflex Math cont. • Student Logins • Students access this site by typing in their TEACHER’S username (given in class), then selecting their name from a list and using their LUNCH NUMBER as their password • Website https://www.reflexmath.com/ (Click launch in the top right side of the screen)

  6. Dreambox • Dreambox is a math learning environment that adapts to your student’s needs. • Students see practice units and lessons dependent on how they perform on assessments.

  7. Dreambox heavily incorporates manipulatives. • Since Dreambox is adaptive, teachers have little control over what unit students are working on. Dreambox decides what skills your student needs to practice and when they are ready for new lessons.

  8. It is suggested that Dreambox be used three times a week for 20 minutes. • To access, you must use our Pinebrook URL • https://play.dreambox.com/login/kwah/pinebrooke • Your student then selects their class • Their login is their student ID number and birthday (in number form) • To access Dreambox on an iPad you need the Pinebrook code: kwah/pinebrooke
