This is the central hub of student self-governance. • Finding a position that suits you within the governing body can help keep you interested, active, and impacted by daily life at the college. • The area is open for students’ use Monday through Friday. • Different areas of organization help with different projects and tasks, including music festivals and dances.
The Library There are catalogue computers at the library with access to databases containing even more information than what they have in the library itself. As a SLCC student you can also go to other colleges, use your One Card and school registration, check out books and potentially use their other services. Ask the people at the reference desk and they can help you, no doubtabout it. Our photographer , Josh, in action!
Math and science tutoring is available at the Learning Center. There is also a lab for taking tests, as well as an E-portfolio lab that is open 9-5 Monday through Friday, and available by appointment on Saturdays. The E-portfolio lab team can reserve a conference laband do workshops, but try to make your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. There also seems to be a possibility for work study opportunities.
Focused Tutoring offers each student a 1 on 1 tutor twice a week. You keep the same tutor for the semester. Priority placements and referrals will be considered first. Apply at least a week in advance for best results.
