Back to School Mailing • August 26, 2014- Back-to-School Child Nutrition Program Reminders and Updates
Reminders • 2014-15 Contracts • Consultants and Public Health Nutritionists are working on approving them. • Did you get the message that your contract was successfully submitted? If no, please go back in and click through the contract to re-submit. • October 30, 2014 is deadline to submit your August claim • Annual Financial Report – Was due 8/31/2014 • Direct Certification should have been run at least once
2014 Equipment Assistance Grant • Priority will be for schools participating in the NSLP that have ≥50% of enrolled students eligible for free and reduced meals. • School that received equipment grant funding from the 2009 ARRA grant or the 2010 Equipment grant are not eligible for this grant. • Grant application materials will be released later in October.
Foodservice Equipment Preapproval Process • Future equipment purchases that exceed the SFA’s capitalization threshold or $5,000, whichever is less will need State Agency approval. • DPI is developing the procedures for incorporating these steps into your procurement process. We will provide more guidance in October. • Equipment purchases made prior to SNT mailing with new preapproval policy are not affected.
