National Levee Safety Program • Established under Title IX of the Water Resources Development Act of 2007 • Establishes a multi-agency “Committee on Levee Safety • Requires publically available database of Nation’s levees • Goal is to ensure that levees are properly operated and maintained for the protection of human life and property
