  1. Welcome to the UCAS Reference Tracker This brief presentation will show you how reference requests are submitted and tracked.

  2. Required References To access the administration screen you follow the link to All Students under Admin. Only designated staff are able to do this.

  3. UCAS form submitted These students have yet to submit a UCAS form, and so don’t yet require a reference to be written. This screen shows the progress of each reference

  4. UCAS form submitted These students have requested a reference, and the system shows when staff should aim to complete them by.

  5. UCAS form submitted This student’s reference is complete, and is waiting for the Head of Year to check it.

  6. UCAS form submitted This student’s reference is being checked by NW.

  7. UCAS form submitted Finally, this reference is ready to be copied into UCAS Apply and be sent off.

  8. UCAS form submitted To activate a reference, you click the cross next to the student’s name.

  9. Activate Reference You then tick the box and enter the subject the student is applying for (this is to help teachers to make the reference more specific, where appropriate). The dates are automatically entered.

  10. Completed reference… The reference can be viewed within the system at any stage in the process, and then copied into UCAS Apply once complete.
