  2. Production technology: Beads are made by „Dropping Technology“ Glass beads by „Melting and Dropping Technology“ Grinding Balls are made by „Isostatic Pressing Technology“ Materials: - Yttria stabilized Zirconia (3Y-TZP) - Ceria stabilized Zirconia (Ce-ZrO2) - Alumina (99.7%; 92%) - ZTA (Zirconia Toughed Alumina) - Glas beads (SiO2-X) - customized qualities

  3. Effects on the milling process Milling processes are complex operations which need a adapted milling media for the product which had to be milled. Only the interaction of the milling technology, the milling conditions and the milling media will addict a succesfull reproducable milling result. „Every milling process requests his own solution“ • high or low density beads - size of the beads - material properties of the beads - microstructure - chemical composition Milling Media • dry or wett milling - operating conditions - material combination Milling Conditions Milling Technology • Mill type - continuous or discontinuous milling - Mill lining

  4. An improved and customised class of ceramic grinding media We provide different kinds of milling media for adapted milling processes. The CERAPP grinding media series give the posibility to use a wide variety of different milling media for specialised industrial milling process. The CERAPP Series consist of heavy media, made of Zirconia (Ce-TZP and 3Y-TZP), the medium heavy medias made of ZTA (Zirconia toughed alumina) and low weight glass milling media. The media advantages are dependent on the milling process: - an improved fracture toughness (improved operating conditions) - a higher bending strength (security against bead breaking) - a significant lower wear rate (less imurities) - also reduce interruptions during the milling process - cost reduced related in what has to be milled. - reduced or avoidable contamination during milling Applications are wett and dry milling of: - minerals, - pigments, - inks, - chemicals - others
