I buy her the dog. • Who did I buy it for? = her • For her = le • Yo le compré el perro.
She buys me the dog. • Who did she buy it for? • ME!!!! • Ella compró el perro para mi. • Ella me compró el perro.
Pruébalos!!! • They buy me the dog. • She buys you the new sweater. • We sell her the house. • I buy my boyfriends that brand!!
¿Como lo hacemos con DOP y IDOP? • I bought you the dog. • Buy= comprar • The dog = el perro • Yo compré el perro para ti.
Yo compro el perro para ti. • DOP: What did I buy? • The dog= lo (masc. sing) • IDOP: Who did I buy it for? • you (te= to you) • Yo telo compré.
You can’t Le lo in Mexico. • No two “ L’s” can go together • NO LE LO • NO LE LA • NO LES LO • NO LES LA
When we have two “L’s”, the le changes to a se: • We bought it (the book) for him. • Nosotros le lo compramos. • Nosotros se lo compramos.
Ejemplo • I bought it for him. • Yo LE LO compre. • YO SE LO COMPRE.
