In afghan family structure, the respect goes to the older people in the family and divorce is unexcceptable. Men with more than one wife have each of their wives live in separate bedrooms but the wives still cook and clean all together. Multiple wives is still allowed but not as common as it used to be but if a man first wife cannot have a son the husband is allowed to marry again. Pashtun family in home
2: The most important things in families is respect for ones elders. The women should have an eagerness to have children especially boys. They honor the ideals of a family unit like cohesiveness and that the family can function as a support system.
The women serve their husbands and care for their children. The women also do household chores such as cooking and cleaning. The women must show eagerness to have kids especially a boy. The women must obey the husband and are only allowed to do things if asking permission and if she is going out she must be fully covered. Afghan women in head to toe dress.
The man of the house leaves for daily jobs, they are the ones who bring home the money. The father hopes for children but most of all a son because the father wants the family strength to be carried out In the son. The men are allowed to go out and roam freely because the men are considered as the dominators of the family. Afghan men praying.
