“Those who mourn” • Sorrowful for sins, because they are against the will of God. • A congregation (2 Cor 7:10) • A King (Psalms 34:18) • Gospel responders (Acts 2:37-38) • An apostle of Christ (Rom 7:18-25)
“Those who mourn” • Sorrowful for the sins of others. • Lincoln: “I am sorry for the man who cannot feel the whip when it is laid on the other man’s back.” • 2 Peter 2:7 - He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men

Mourning will lead to comfort as we confess our sins to the Father.
