Aims • To deliver real life examples of successful multi-agency information sharing and working. • To develop a framework which provides a solution for multi-agency information sharing. • meets national standards and protocols (information sharing, data protection and technical) • vendor neutral • enables implementation of local policy and change management

  5. National eGov Project, sponsored by the ODPM • £7.1m project, £6m ODPM funding, £1m+ Local Authority Contributions • 8 work strands. • Work led by Local Authorities with Newcastle University, Health, Education, Police, Technical and other partners • 18 month programme, ends 31st October 2004

SAP: Time/CapacityGross Benefits • Average time currently taken for 4 agencies to visit and carry out individual assessments with an older adult = 6 hours • Average time taken for 4 agencies/practitioners to carry out SAP common assessment = 3 hours • Gross time saving/additional capacity = appx. 180 mins or £78 per client • LA with 12,000 clients pa = >£900k pa • Nationally, based on 1.8m clients pa = £140mpa
