HOMES • The Blackfeet people lived in teepees make from buffalo hides. • The Blackfeet woman were responsible for putting up and down the teepees when the Blackfeet tribe or people moved. • When the Blackfeet people moved, horses or dogs would pull the teepee poles to the new home. DRESS • The Blackfeet men wore leggings, a robe, and black moccasin. In the winter the Blackfeet men wore hats, buffalo robes, and always black moccasins • Men also wore breechcloths to keep warm during the winter. • When war came around, men wore eagle feathers to represent that they were strong like the eagles themselves. • The Blackfeet woman would wear leggings. black moccasins. And a long shirt, and if they were cooking they would wear almost lake a tool belt with their knives and cooking utensils • Almost every single Blackfoot member would wear Black moccasins because that’s how they got their name. FOOD • The Blackfeet ate mostly buffalo, but they also ate Elk, deer and other animals. • They often used buffalo jumps and it was always a success. Another thing they would do was dress up as a buffalo, and then they could get really close. • For tools, they had guns and bow and arrows, because remember they had buffalo jumps, so they didn’t need any more tools • When they were done hunting or killing the buffalo they would cut out the heart and eat it raw. For a drink they would drink the blood. • They grew only one crop and that was tobacco. They would also have a bowl of fruit and meat mixed together.
