  3. Goods shipped to Britain • A lot of goods were shipped to Britain • Why were the goods so important to Britain?

  4. TRADE AND EMPIRE IN THE WEST • 92,500,000 people were in the Empire in the West. • Countries in the West of the Empire included North America and Canada. • The English travelled to other countries telling them what to do.

SLAVERY IN TRADE & EMPIRE • Slavery has gone on for over 1000 years. • British used silver to buy products. • Slavery started in India. • If it wasn’t for the trade and empire we wouldn’t have tea or coffee. • If a slave would not do as he/her was told, they were whipped. • Weapons were used if the slaves didn’t work. • If it wasn’t for the trade and empire we wouldn’t have food but the way they treated the slaves was wrong.

  10. The East India company went to unknown places, and found things that we would never have seen had it not been for them I Think we should all be proud of the BRITISH TRADE AND THE EMPIRE
