  1. Hate ″Press Home to Unlock″ on iOS 10? Here is the Fix iOS 10 comes with a lot of features, one of which are abandoning the "Slide to Unlock" feature and adopting "Press Home to Unlock", i.e. Touch ID-enabled feature. This is cited as one of an most important change. However, this may not be welcomed among users who want to fast unlock their phones. The good news is that there are still ways to turn off this setting in iOS 10 and return the screen unlocking to its original behavior of the old generations. In this guide, we will provide two ways to fix the issue - one is direct operating on the iPhone; Another is turning to iBackupBot. Just check how to perform. Solution 1: Return the "Slide to Unlock" Feature Step 1. On your iPhone/iPad, open the "Settings" app from the home screen. Step 2. At the "Settings" screen, scroll down the page and tap on "General". Step 3. Touch "Accessibility". Step 4. Scroll down and then select "Home Button". Step 5. Turn on "Rest Finger to Open".

  2. Solution 2: Fix with iBackupBot Step 1. To begin with, back up files from your iOS device. Note that the iOS backup must be unencrypted. Step 2. In this step, you should download and install iBackupBot on your Mac/Windows computer. Step 3. Click and open iBackupBot app and select your Backup. Step 4. On the sidebar, open /System Files/Home Domain/Library/Preferences.

  3. Step 5. Double click to open com.apple.springborad.plist. Step 6. Add the following two lines in it after the header information: SBEnableDashBoard Step 7. Save the file. Step 8. Close iBackupBot and restore a backup from iTunes. Step 9. When the steps are finished, iPhone will restarted. When it has rebooted, the "Slide to unlock" will go back to your device. That's it! You can select one of them to disable the "Press Home to Unlock" feature and enable the "Slide to Unlock". If you want to fast unlock your device, just give it a try.
