Eurosystem/ESCB Committees1/2 • The Committees assist the work of the managing bodies of the ECB, by providing information fromtheir fields of expertise in order to facilitate the efficient and timely decision-making process and the implementation of decisions. • International Relations Committeeassists the ECB with regard to international cooperation • Monetary Policy Committeeadvises on strategic and longer-term issues relating to the monetary and exchange rate policy • Financial Stability Committee advises on matters related to prudential supervision of credit institutions and the financial system stability • Committee on Cost Methodology • Banknote Committeeparticipates in the strategic planning of banknote production and issuance and creation of banknote issuance policy • Eurosystem/ESCB Communications Committeeassists in creation of external and internal system communication policies • Internal Auditors Committeedevelops standards for auditing Eurosystem operations and audits joint operational systems at the Eurosystem/ ESCB level • Accounting and Monetary Income Committeeadvises on the issues relating to accounting, financial reporting and the allocation of monetary income
