Offensive Mentality Before the Double Wing Offense • What are we going to run this week? • Multiple formations: * I-Pro Split-Pro Doubles/Twins, Split-Wing, Power I, I-Slot, Wishbone, Double Split, I-Twins • No identity on offense. • What was our base? • We even had 4 double wing plays in as a red zone offense. • Affected everything.
Week 8of the 2005 Season 1–6 Record Down 42–0 at the half “Our lowest point of the season.”
Week 9of the 2005 Season • Up 21–0 at the end of the 1st quarter. • Won 36–18. • Rushed for over 400 yards: * 0 pass attempts * 0 turnovers * Time of possession
Week 10of the 2005 Season • Won 55–0 Despite a 3–7 record, we finished District runner-up.
Our 2006 Theme: Menard Football: Get Ready…Here We Come!!
Our Overall Success in 2006: • District Champions (1st time in 13 years). • Lead Central Louisiana in total offense. • Rushed for over 300 yards 7 times. • 3 backs with over 1000 all-purpose yards. • Finished the regular season ranked #2 in Central Louisiana. • Averaged 33.5 points per game. • In Week 4, we had 586 yards of total offense and 29 first downs.
