Galatians 1:6-7 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
The fog of false teaching – what is it? • Contradicting statements knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:20-21
The fog of false teaching – what is it? 2. Traditions on equal ground as God’s commands. “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” He answered and said to them, " Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? For God commanded, saying, " Honor your father and your mother '; and, 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death. '

Traditions on equal ground as God’s commands Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.“ Acts 17:30-31

Examples of foggy ideas We don’t invite Christ into our hearts-He invites us into His Body-the church (Mt 23:37, Gal 3:27); as a result His Holy Spirit dwells within us – through His Word.
How to see through the fog Searching the scriptures for Bible authority. These were more fair- minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. Acts 17:11

Conclusion God’s Word really isn’t that complicated; when we allow the traditions, ideas, beliefs, and feelings of others and ourselves to get in the way-then the way of truth can become foggy.
But, when we decide we want the truth, not feelings, ideas or anything else, the fog will lift.
