  3. Who is the CAR-IX ? • Bringing together 5 operators as founding members • Founding members are: • UTS • Scarlet • Telbo • EOCG • Digicel

  4. Key values • Neutral • Non-profit (balanced costs) • Membership based • Profiting members, business community and ultimately the end-users

  5. CAR-IX business structure • Not for profit CAR-IX association • Holding all shares in CAR-IX bv (ltd) • Connected parties will automatically be member • Elected board from amongst the members • One member one vote • Bi lateral peering agreements

CAR-IX business structure • Flying start through partnership • Strategic partnership with the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (www.ams-ix.net) • 300 connected parties; 500 ports operational • Transfer over 10 years’ IX knowledge and expertise knowledge to stakeholders • Co-location at the E-commerce Park tier 2 datacenter in Curacao
