They are usually made from grains like wheat, rye and maze.  The ageing process of this drink is a key differentiator. It is aged in wooden casks made of oak. It is a drink that s regulated and hence may not be freely available in all countries.

  2. Types Of Whisky • These are made in most areas that grow grain. They differ in product as well as quality. • Broadly, they can be classified as Malt whisky and Grain whisky. Single malt whisky is made from a unique grain type. • They are not mixed with other grains. They are also aged in a single cask.

  3. When it comes to single malt, they are prepared from a range of grains, each contributing their taste to the drink. • One such drink is made from the Agave plant. The honey-flavored plant is sweet in consistency. • The juice is derived from blue agaves. It is also popularly known that tequila is derived from Agave.

  4. Blended malt whisky is very popular among people looking for a variation in taste. These are made from whiskies prepared in two or more distilleries. • The term blended clearly states that it was a mix of whiskies. These are more difficult to make. Deriving whisky and blending them in the right proportion takes much skill and expertise. • Whisky is also identified by the countries in which they are manufactured. When you visit a whisky shop, you may see different brands of bottles available n the shelf.
