12. OWTNM 8 April 2005 Conclusions We have presented a new architecture of an integrated optical switch based on a FP microcavity filled with liquid crystals.
By maximizing the overlap among the optical modes in each section of the device we have found a very promising performance of the switch.
The optimized device has a TE0 resonant peak transmission value of about 95% with a quality factor of 900 and a tunability range of about 60nm@1.5mm
