  3. SLO 3:Provide evidence based care of patients for the delivery of optimal health care. • SLO 4:Articulate a professional philosophy that reflects autonomy, advocacy, social justice, accountability, responsibility and ethical decision making in the provision of patient centered care. • SLO 5: Communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals, families, communities, populations, and interdisciplinary team members, fostering open communication, mutual respect and shared decision making.

  4. SLO 6: Integrate processes and skills for critical thinking, management and leadership to promote and continuously improve the quality and safety of health care delivery. • SLO 7: Evaluate nursing care outcomes within the context of patients’ values, preferences, and well-being.

  5. How was the assessment accomplished? • Student work assessed: What assignments in what courses-- tests, products of student work, etc.? • Measurement strategy: scores, rubric, etc. • Sample size: n students (Is this a sample or all eligible students?)

  6. Assessment Data

  7. Assessment Data

  8. Assessment results: What have the data told us? • Met all but 1 benchmark. • Meeting departmental SLO assessed. • Our benchmark for clinical was too high – 100% had not left for any student to be unsuccessful in clinical, and no matter how much support a student had from faculty – they may not be successful in clinical. • Revised benchmarks

  9. Data-driven decisions: How the department has or plans to “close the loop” based on these results. • Will continue with remediation efforts for students • Benchmark related to clinical outcomes changed from 100% to 95% • Continue with reviews

  10. What resources were used or have been requested to close the loop? • No additional resources have been used or requested.
