5. How big of an issue is Sex anyway??

Pornography use: • 60% of males over 12 years of age in the last 3 days have viewed pornography, 47% of women in the church admit to using • $97 billion dollar market World Wide, $13.3Billion in the US, $3 billion on child porn in the US) • Average age of first Internet exposure to pornography is 11 years old • Largest consumer of Internet pornography is the 35 - 49 age group • 80% of 15-17 year olds have had multiple hard-core exposures • 90% of 8-16 year olds having viewed porn online (most while doing homework) • 12% of all websites on the internet are pornography • 35% of all internet downloads are pornography • There are 116,000 searches for “child pornography” every day! • 20% of men and 13% of women admit to view pornography while at work

7. Loss of Virginity Average age for engaging in sexual relationships – 14-15 yrs old (Statistics show this is quickly moving toward 12 yrs)

10. Incident rate of teen STD • An estimated 8,300 young people aged 13–24 years in the 40 states reporting to CDC had HIV infection in 2009 • Nearly half of the 19 million new STDs each year are among young people aged 15–24 years of age

12. Teen Pregnancy • More than 400,000 teen girls aged 15–19 years gave birth in 2009

13. Crime

14. Incident Rate of Sexual Abuse 1 in 3 Americans have been sexually abused (clinical definition of abuse) If you use the Biblical definition of sexual abuse, it’s closer to 100%

15. No Long Term Commitments

16. Incident of American Divorce • 60% of marriages in America end in divorce • 62% of “Christian” marriages end in divorce • 85% of second marriages end in divorce • 98% of third marriages end in divorce

17. I Guess Marriage Just Doesn’t Work Anymore? • Outside of Marriage, the affect is even worse. • Pre-marital relationship, statistically, are 85% more likely to fail once they become sexual.

18. Incident of Fatherlessness • 35% of Caucasian children do not have a father figure in their lives • 45% of Hispanic • 75% of African American • If you go to an average 1st Grade classroom, 80% of the children do not have a father figure in their lives.

19. The World’s Approach They are going to do it anyway, so let’s make sure they are “responsible” about it… OR At least it’s just sex and not drugs or jail… Have our aspirations for our children really become that low?

22. What are your children into? Porn? Sexting? Sex Games? Bi-sexualism? Do you know? Would they tell you if you asked?

23. What are your children into? There is an exponentially growing population of sexually aggressive girls. Is your daughter one?

America has become Desensitized • Sex is used to sell everything • We are so inundated with sexual influence, we have trouble even seeing it • Sex has been trivialized to be little more than a “recreational activity” • Most Americans believe sex has nothing to do with Morality, it’s simply a life-style choice.

30. So what’s your view on Sexuality? Do you seek God’s view of Purity? Or, do you prefer the company of the World?

31. Sexual Morality is about what we… See… Think… Feel… And mostly, What we DO!

32. The Most Convicting Verse in Scripture But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. - Matthew 5:28

34. How many of you have committed adultery today??

35. Say NO If you tell your children to just say NO to sex, they look around at all the “fun” they are missing and do it anyway.

36. Just Wait If you tell your children to WAIT to have sex, they wonder when they have waited long enough? We are not a patient people.

37. Sexual Purity has got to be about something bigger…. Much bigger than themselves!

38. It must be… Surrender!

39. Our Sexual Relationships are a direct parallel to our relationship with God For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. - 1 John 5:3 (NKJV)

40. 1 Corinthians 6:15-17 (NKJV) 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”[b] 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

41. Sexual Sin is not like other Sins, And requires drastic action!

42. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (NKJV) 18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[c] and in your spirit, which are God’s.

43. God gave us only ONE relationship where sex is HOLY instead of Sinful Marriage Within Marriage, sex is mystical and binds husband and wife physically, emotionally, and especially spiritually.

44. Is this how you view sex?

45. Train Your Children Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6

46. Train Your Children What are you training your children to be?

47. It’s YOUR responsibility You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. - Deuteronomy 11:19 (NKJV) Not the Government’s, Not the church’s, YOURS!!!

48. So what are YOU going to do?

49. You are either discipling your children for Christ, Or… You are discipling them for Satan! There is no in between.
