2.1 Notes. Whole Numbers – 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, … Integers - …-3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, …. Rational Numbers – a number wher e a and b are integers and Examples:. Opposite – Two numbers that are on opposite sides of 0 but the same distance from 0 Example: 4 and -4 are opposites.
