  2. To say you “would “ do something you use the conditional Ex: I would like to drink some water I would buy a house You would work harder

  3. In French the conditional is formed just like the future tense but the endings are different: ER VERBS Ex: aimer: take the verb in the infinitive and add these endings. J’aimer + ais Tu aimer + ais Il aimer + ait Nous aimer + ions Vous aimer + iez Ils aimer + aient Flash Écoutez

  4. In French the conditional is formed just like the future tense but the endings are different: IR VERBS Ex: finir: take the verb in the infinitive and add these endings. Je finir + ais Tu finir + ais Il finir + ait Nous finir + ions Vous finir + iez Ils finir + aient Écoutez

  5. In French the conditional is formed just like the future tense but the endings are different: RE VERBS Ex: vendre: take the verb in the infinitive, get rid of the e and add these endings. Je vendr + ais Tu vendr + ais Il vendr + ait Nous vendr + ions Vous vendr + iez Ils vendr + aient Écoutez

Some of the verbs are irregular ( they do not follow a pattern) Ex: vouloir ( to want) Je voudrais Tu voudrais Il/elle voudrait Nous voudrions Vous voudriez Ils/elles voudraient Ex: pouvoir ( to be able to) Je pourrais Tu pourrais Il/elle pourrait Nous pourrions Vous pourriez Ils/elles pourraient
