  5. 3 Types of Business organizations • Business franchise: An organization in which a parent company (franchiser) grants to an independent business owner (franchisee) the exclusive right to use its trade name and sell its product

  6. 3 Types of Business organizations • Cooperative: An organization that is owned and operated by a group of individuals for their shared benefit

  7. 3 Types of Business organizations • Nonprofit organization: An organization that functions like a business but does not operate to make a profit.

Illustrated Dictionary • Create an illustrated dictionary entry for each of these terms: business franchise, cooperative, nonprofit organization. • For each dictionary entry, • create a symbol or an icon to represent the term. • write a definition of the term in your own words. • write a sentence using the term. • provide an example for the term. • explain why entrepreneurs might choose this model of business organization.
