Empowered People (42:1-9) • To bring justiceto the nations • “Two edged sword. . .” Heb 4:12 • Use “diplomacy” vs. force (v 2-3) • Appeal to a “higher” law (v 3) • Call to faith (v 5) • Call to a higher “righteousness” (v 6)
Empowered People (42:1-9) • Bring light to the “nations” • To illuminate, enlighten or give insight, to shed light on • Open blind eyes • Release prisoners from prison
