What our students pay… Tuition 2010-11: • In-state: $9,390 per year • Out-of-state: $20,270 per year • Housing/Meals: app. $7,600-$8,600 per year In-state increase of 4.92 percent this year… • Third lowest percentage increase in state • Ranked sixth of 12 for in-state tuition Do you know? Coastal Carolina University Budget Total budget 2010-11: $148 million • 6.2 percent from state appropriations • Since 2007-08, appropriations decreased 46 percent • Lowest funded in South Carolina Total operating (10 funds) budget 2010-11: $96 million Do you know? Penny Sales Tax • Horry County citizens approved tax in 2008 for facility improvements • Proceeds shared among Horry County Schools, HGTC, Coastal Carolina University • Tax could generate approximately $120 million for University in 15 years Do you know?
