  2. ONE BAPTISM • The Bible teaches of ONE baptism that is effective and necessary (Ephesians 4:5). • We need to ask if we have received the proper baptism!

  3. ONE BAPTISM • THE ONE BAPTISM IS AN IMMERSION • It is a burial – Colossians 2:12, 13 • Sprinkling and pouring do not meet the requirements of a burial.

  4. ONE BAPTISM • THE ONE BAPTISM IS IN WATER • Water baptism is the only baptism that is commanded – Acts 10:47, 48; Mark 16:16 • Baptism of the Holy Spirit was never commanded.

  5. ONE BAPTISM • THE ONE BAPTISM IS FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS • Water baptism is the only baptism that is commanded – Acts 10:47, 48; Mark 16:16 • “Baptism does not ‘save you,’ only your faith in Christ saves you.” (Southern Baptist Convention)

  6. ONE BAPTISM • THE ONE BAPTISM ADDS YOU TO THE ONE CHURCH • Those who were baptized were saved, and added to the church – Acts 2:41, 47 • Denominationalism is against the plea of the Bible – 1 Corinthians 1:10

  7. ONE BAPTISM • “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” Mark 16:16
