The origin of the Organisation The Organisation came into existence to address the critical issues like – • UP/MP Border area – suffers development neglect. • Extreme exploitation of weaker communities • Prevalence of Crime & atrocities against women. • Uneven Terrain, infertile soil and low yield • Poor irrigation facilities despite two perennial rivers. • Poverty leading to Hunger deaths & migration. • Poor Health & Education facilities • No access to government schemes.

OBJECTIVES • Awareness generation • Running Education programmes • Holistic development of villages • Promotion of Khadi and Village industries • Promotion traditional medicine • Strengthening Agriculture and Horticulture • Promotion of forums for children, girls adolescents, youth and women for empowerment and development • Research and Development • Training, workshops for capacity building • Environment development
STRATEGIES • Community Mobilization for participation • Identifying and prioritizing key issues • Micro-planning • Involving media for highlighting local issues and awakening administration • Interfacing administration with public on key issues affecting the communities • Capacity Building and training of PRIs, women, youth and community Reps.
Interventions and Achievements • 40 SHGs formed – 460 members linked to cottage industry • Possession of 266 acre pattas – 153 families • 30 Chingari groups formed for advocacy • Student - Teacher attendance & participation improved • Communities empowered & aware of rights • Improved collaboration between media, administration and community. • PRIs activated and integrated micro-plans developed. • Construction of bridges & roads for communication & links with 15 villages through sustained community campaign. • Reduction in Migration
The Proposal Specific Thrusts related to proposal: • To educate non-school going children. • To provide basic health services in remote areas. • To launch integrated community development initiatives for employment and income generation among members of target communities.
