Math 3-4 nights a week (assigned according to individual class needs) • Read for at least thirty minutes every night (record in reading log) • Prepare for weekly spelling assessments • Unfinished class work becomes homework Homework
If a student forgets their homework on a regular basis, I will call home, write a note in student’s planner, or e-mail to let you know. • Math- Show how problems were solved using UPS√ when appropriate. • Spelling- Students should complete homework and study the words at home as needed. • PLANNERS FILLED OUT DAILY!!! On time class attendance • Planners filled out daily • Complete class assignments and homework on time • Good behavior choices / follow classroom expectations • Projects and materials • Reading logs • UP library books & Classroom library books • Clean and organized desks and lockers • Responsible behavior in auditorium, hallway, cafeteria, specials, recess, science lab, and computer lab Student Responsibilities

Find a safe place for school items at home. • Decide on the best time and place to complete homework. • Arrive to school on time. • Contact Ms. Langford if you have ANY questions or concerns!!! • Check planner with child regularly. • Encourage your child to READ, READ, READ!!! • Encourage your child to practice multiplication facts regularly. • Send back Thursday folders on Friday. • Set academic goals with your child. How Parents Can Best Support Responsible Behavior
Parent/Teacher conferences are held as needed. • Thursday folder contains school information and graded work. • Planners should come home daily. • Email the office or me if your child is going to be absent. • Please send a written excuse for absences. • Students stay in the gym until the 7:50 morning bell. • Dismissal: Dismiss at 3:10. Students still waiting for their ride at 3:25 will go to the front office to wait and/or call home. You will have to go to the office to pick them up. Information you need to know…
