  5. GUM TREATMENT For early stages of gum disease, one may only need regular scaling and cleaning of the teeth, and followed by daily brushing and flossing. Gingivitis is fully reversible. However, if disease progresses, and bone loss has occurred, t he lost tissue cannot be regenerated easily. A deep cleaning procedure may be indicated, sometimes in conjunction with antibiotic treatment.   6. ROOT CANAL TREATMENT Root canal treatment involves cleaning the infected tooth pulp (that is the nerve of the tooth) and replaces it with a root filling. The procedure may take multiple appointments. Often following root canal treatment, tooth is weakened and may fracture. The latter also include a take home kit to maintain the result achieved on office.
