  2. OUR TEACHERS IN ACTION TEAM:

  3. WHERE WE HAD FUN! • UCP of Central • Florida has been • helping children • succeed for more • than 50 years. • • Gives children with special • needs the best • possible start in • life and equips • them with the • skills they need • to reach their • full potential.

  4. OUR PROJECT OVERVIEW: • Kids asked for • art projects or • talent shows. • Our camp • consisted of • five different • projects and • a party. • Camp help over • the course of • three weeks, • on Mondays & • Wednesdays • from 2:30pm • until 5:30pm.

  5. PARTICIPANT DEMOGRAPHICS: • Participant’s • special needs • included: • cerebral palsy, • Down syndrome, • autism, • speech delays, • developmental • delays and • vision and • hearing • impairments. • Our fifteen • participants • ranged from • ages 8-16.

  8. CONNECTIONS TO EEX4070: • Universal Design • for Learning • (UDL). • The benefits of • flexible options. • Behavioral • characteristics • of students with • disabilities. • Multiple modes • of sensory input • and output. • • Inclusion

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: • Service-learning • is a great • example of civic • engagement. • A useful tool • for students as • well as teachers. • As teachers, it is • important that we • understand the • world around us, • contribute in a • positive way and • try to make a • difference in the • lives of others.
