  1. Water Watch Lab Upload Guidelines The sample upload process allows labs to add sample results to Water Watch by emailing sample results directly to Gensuite for processing. Uploaded sample results are queued for review, and Site Administrators can quickly approve samples and add them to Water Watch. In order to take full advantage of the sample upload enhancement, labs should observe the following guidelines for properly formatting data for uploading to Water Watch: The file uploaded to Water Watch must be a tab-delimited text file. The first line of the file is ignored, so the template may use this line for column headings, if desired. Each additional line should be used for each distinct data entry, structured in the following order:

  2. Water Watch Lab Upload Guidelines To ensure the quality and accuracy of data uploaded to Water Watch, several validations will be executed when sample results are uploaded. The following outlines the data validations applied to each field. Note: All fields marked with an * are required; upload will be considered incomplete and rejected if these are not completed.

  3. Water Watch Lab Upload Guidelines • To upload site sample data to Water Watch: • Output sample data in the tab-delimited format outlined in the previous slides • In Outlook (or another email client), create a new message. Add gensuite@ge.com in the To: field. In the subject line, use the following: Water Watch Sample Upload • NOTE: The subject line must match this format exactly, or the data will not be processed • Browse your computer and locate the tab-delimited file that you wish to upload to Water Watch and attach to the email. Once you have confirmed that the email has been setup correctly, it can then be sent. • After emailing the sample results to Water Watch, you will receive a confirmation message (this may take a few minutes). • If the upload is successful and all data validations have passed, you will be informed that the sample results were uploaded successfully to Water Watch, and no further action will be required on your part. • If the sample results are improperly formatted or have data validation errors, you will receive an email with an attachment of the original sample results, along with notes about the validation errors. • Once the data validation errors have been corrected, you may follow the steps above to re-send the email with the corrected sample results attachment.
