Olympic games in Sochi Winter Olympic games were held in Sochi from February 7 to February 23, 2014. Many different kinds of sports were included in the program of the Olympic games, but we want to tell about one of the most beautiful kinds of sport - figure skating.
The first Olympic games and the first Olympic champion On 27 April 1908, 106 years ago, figure skating as a sport was first included in the Olympic program. At the Olympic games in 1908 an important event took place: the first Russian athlete - skater Nikolai Kolomenkin, competing under the name of Panin, won the Olympic gold.
