Welcome to the GAA Foundation Award Coach Education Programme (Level 1). This course aims to provide beginner coaches with the core coaching skills needed to assist in organizing games and skill development activities. The course covers topics such as physical literacy, coaching children, youths, and adults, GAA skill development, introduction to games, and code of ethics and best practices.

GAA Foundation Award – Course Philosophy • Aimed at beginner Coaches (deployed as Assistant Coaches). • Focuses on the introduction of core ‘How to Coach’ skills to beginner Coaches • The Course is divided into a number of modules, with the focus on exposing the participants to practical situations to demonstrate the development of the core competencies.
