at UofT Mississauga • Testing began in 2003 • So long, static pages! Content control and agility were immediately impressive • User-interface took some getting used to • In 2006, most UofTM academic departments & all administrative offices use TYPO3
at UofT Mississauga • Research & Graduate site has continually evolved over the last three years • Site is updated daily with research funding announcements, researcher profiles, etc. • utm.utoronto.ca/research
at UofT Mississauga • No plans to move away from TYPO3 • Open source community ensures TYPO3 will continue to evolve and adapt to changing web standards and innovations • Currently working towards having TYPO3 communicate directly with Blackboard
Moving FIS to Joomla Cynick Young
Faculty of Information Studies needed an overdue makeover for its web presence • ATRC had committed to Joomla as its OS CMS • Joomla is working towards better accessibility • FIS would benefit from standardizing with ATRC
OS was the only way to allow legacy integration • Many legacy systems had to be redeveloped • Requirements and functionality had to be re-examined in moving to Joomla
