  6. Printing / Scanning • Printing in all Computer Labs • Buy print Quota • Ugla (Credit card) • Service Desk Háskólatorg • Cost – 7 kr/page • Color Printer – Available in Háskólatorg and Árnagarður (35 kr/page) • Scanners - Available in engineering Labs (VRII), Askja , Háskólatorg and Árnagarður

Personal Web Space Data Storage • Allows you to store your data – 4GB (see RHI web for more) • Access by mapping drive, in Ugla, Computer Labs or FTP Email • E-mail address: username@hi.is (hjh@hi.is) • Use mail client (e.g., Thunderbird, Outlook etc) – configuration required • From the web http://postur.hi.is Personal Web Page • Link: www.notendur.hi.is/username • uni.hi.is (WordPress)

  8. Internet Connections Wireless connection • Two devices can be registered per username for wireless network • Register your MAC address via Ugla. • Detailed information on rhi.hi.is Student housing • Cable network – No wireless network • One computer or router can be registered

Ugla • Intranet for the University • Information gateway to perform different tasks, such as: • Registration: Users, courses, teachers, network, grades... • Courses: Info, rules, grades, files, conversations, homework, groups… • Allows datastorage (4GB) - Homedrive • Comunications: Advertisement, forums, news, announcements… • For all registered HI (UI) users – Students, teachers and other staff • Accessible in both English and Icelandic
