Homework -30 minutes of homework a night - -read in French for 20 minutes every night -based on material covered in class If your child can not complete their homework please write a note in their agenda.

Progress report/report cards Progress report: -November - will not include marks Progressing very well Progressing well Progressing with difficulty -focus on learning skills -followed by student led conferences Report cards: -late January/early February and end of June -letter grade -continued focus on learning skills -followed by parent teacher interview (in person or by phone) *if desired

EQAO -This is a standardized test that must be written by all Grade 3 students. -French Immersion students are only expected to write the math portion of the test, in French. -The test will be based on the grade 3 Math Curriculum and will cover what has been taught in class throughout the year and what was taught in previous years. -Students will receive their scores early next year. -EQAO will take place in early June - EQAO website atwww.eqao.com
Volunteers -must complete a vulnerable sector check through YRDSB police and submit results to office -if you had a vulnerable sector check last year you must complete an annual offence declaration -all forms are available by contacting the office *our first field trip is October 18th
