Calculated Heat Loss • Assumptions: • No convection between panes • Gap width equal to 0.5 inches • Free convection • Finding the h values: • Each Nussel number was calculated to find the h value • Determining the heat gain from convection • Using a thermal circuit, heat transfer was calculated • Determining the heat loss from convection • Thermal circuit was used again to find heat transfer
